Über Mich
Oft werde ich gefragt: „Wie lange dauert es, ein solches Bild zu malen?“ Da muss ich mit Gewissheit antworten: „Mein ganzes Leben!“
Geboren wurde ich in Vermont im Osten der USA und lebe jetzt in Karlsruhe. Als Jüngstes von fünf Kindern französisch-kanadischer Eltern wuchs ich in Mitte der Natur auf. Meine Bilder lassen meine Heimat lebendig werden mit leuchtenden Farben. Sie geben so einen unmittelbaren Eindruck von kühlen Gewässern, lebendigem Forst und frischer Luft. Gegenwärtig ist auch immer der Indian Summer mit seiner überwältigenden Farbenpracht.
Ich studierte Zeichnen und Malen im Johnson State College in Vermont bei Professor Peter Heller und später an der Uni in Nizza sowie in zahlreichen Kursen und privaten Malstunden. Vor über 25 Jahren begann ich mit Aquarell- und Zeichenkursen im Hohenlohischen und hatte zahlreiche Einzel- und Gruppenaustellungen.
Mein Motive kreiere ich überwiegend mit Acryl auf Leinwand, aber auch mit Aquarellfarben und Kohlenstiften. Experimentelles Malen mit Acrylfarben mit neuen Methoden bieten mir Möglichkeiten zur Gestaltung.
Ich bin Mitglied der Badischen Kunstverein und nehme seit 2013 teil an den Mitglieder Ausstellungen.

People ofen ask me, “How long did it take to paint this?”
I must honestly answer, “My whole life!”
I was born in Vermont in the east of the USA and now live in Karlsruhe in Germany. I grew up as the youngest of five children of french-canadian parents surrounded by nature. My origins are reflected in my paintings with bright colors. You expirience cool waters, living forests and fresh air. The Indian Summer is ever present with its glorious colors.
I studied drawing and painting from Professor Peter Heller at Johnson State College in Vermont and later in in Nice, France, as well as in various courses and private lessons. I started 25 years ago with drawing and painting courses in the south of Germany and took part in many art shows there.
I work mainly with acrylic on canvas but also with watercolors and coal pencils. I am now discovering new possibilities with acrylic paints using exciting new methods like pouring.
I am a memeber of the “Badische Kunst Verein” centered in Karlsruhe, and take part in their yearly art show for active members.
